Brewer High School is unveiling a new 400-foot by 345-foot multipurpose artificial turf field, thanks to Sargent employee-owners. Construction began in late August 2023, encompassing site grading, a stone drainage layer, and the installation of artificial turf. The Brewer Athletic Complex, located behind the high school, will not only host baseball, football, and soccer but also feature five tennis courts and two pickleball courts for both school and community use, according to the Brewer School Department’s RFP. Haley Ward Inc. designed the field, which will accommodate sports like field hockey and lacrosse. While the main construction was completed by mid-November, the Sargent crew will return in the spring for final touches on the tennis and pickleball courts. The multipurpose field is set to be available for use in the upcoming spring, showcasing the seamless collaboration of the experienced Sargent team.
