Sargent crews are making significant strides at Turnkey Landfill in Rochester, New Hampshire, with two major projects underway. They are preparing for the final cap installation over a 15-acre area, reshaping the land to protect it from heavy rains. This project, managed in partnership with Waste Management and liner subcontractor Chenango Contracting Inc., is set for completion by August 23, 2024.
Simultaneously, Sargent is working on a bedrock crushing project that started in April 2023. The goal is to blast 261,000 cubic yards of ledge to produce various grades of gravel and stone. Despite challenges with rock characteristics and equipment stress, crews are achieving or surpassing daily production targets with the support of Capital Rock. Both projects reflect strong collaboration and are on track for timely completion, with the bedrock crushing expected to finish by July 15, 2024. Sanborn Head Associates is overseeing engineering for both efforts.
