Sargent is undertaking the largest project in its history, performing site earthwork for the 1,300-acre Mattameade Tech Campus in Woodford, Virginia, which will support construction of 11 Amazon data centers. The multi-phase project includes massive clearing, earthmoving, utility coordination, and infrastructure preparation, with dozens of crews and subcontractors working across the site. Complex logistics and strict “mission critical” deadlines require constant coordination, flexible scheduling, and work outside normal hours to stay on track. Phase 1 is underway with key milestones through 2026 and overall completion targeted for March 2027.
