A new six-acre, 800-space parking lot at Bangor International Airport, completed in late November 2024, addresses growing passenger traffic and parking overflow. The $4.5 million project, awarded to Sargent in July 2024, included upgrades to sewer lines, walkways, lighting, landscaping, stormwater management, curbing, and pavement. The airport has seen a 30% increase in passenger traffic over the past five years, necessitating additional parking. The lot also features 22 drainage structures and seven retention ponds. The project was completed on time and is expected to significantly improve parking capacity for holiday travelers.
