This large and environmentally sensitive project involved the construction of a 2.2-mile motorsports country club on the side of a mountain. Sargent proposed a cost-plus guaranteed maximum price with a 50/50 split on all savings below GMP. In the end, Club Motorsports saved $1.2 million due to Sargent’s collaborative value engineering throughout the project.
Sargent’s scope of work on this project was vast and included clearing, stumping and grinding, grubbing, stripping and screening topsoil, earthmoving, rock blasting, crushing and placing aggregates, storm drainage, boulder walls, precast retaining walls, concrete walkways, seeding and mulching, excavation and backfill, site sewer and septic systems, site electric, and all erosion control measures.
