Sargent is working on its first New Hampshire fish hatchery project, part of a $50.8 million effort to modernize the aging New Hampton facility and improve fish production, efficiency, and environmental performance. Crews began demolition and site work in 2025, tackling complex excavation, dewatering, and installation of roughly 10,000 feet of piping to support new buildings and large fish tanks. The project requires extensive coordination with subcontractors and careful management of persistent groundwater challenges while maintaining ongoing hatchery operations nearby. Scheduled for completion in fall 2026, the upgraded facility will support the state’s long-standing fish stocking program for anglers.
