The replacement of a failing granite block box culvert on Meredith Neck Road in Meredith, New Hampshire, was completed in late October, restoring dual-lane traffic. The project, which began after the culvert was deemed unsafe, involved replacing the 1830s-era causeway, including a granite block retaining wall, with a new 80-foot concrete precast box culvert and a 150-square-yard granite block wall. The design preserved the historical appearance and aimed to improve safety and storm drainage. The work was finished on time and under budget, with minimal disruption to traffic.
