Sargent provided earthwork for a new 27-megawatt solar farm along Route 11 in Milo, Maine. We constructed 2,200 linear feet of roads and performed excavation and backfill for 13,200 LF of electrical trenching. Additionally, we fabricated and installed precast concrete equipment pads, which had a design-build aspect, including several design changes that took place throughout the process.
This project had a very fast pace. Once the client selected us as the earthwork contractor, we began working immediately. Executing our portion of the work safely and quickly was paramount to staying on schedule and allowing for the solar panel erectors and electricians to do their jobs.
