Sargent is undertaking a project on the Maine Turnpike to create Exit 35 in Saco. They are constructing toll plaza canopies using 61,000 pounds of structural steel. The canopies will be installed in September and next spring. The $41.9 million contract includes building four new ramps, two toll plazas, and a new road. Sargent’s completion date for the project is Nov. 25, 2025. Work on both northbound and southbound sides is progressing well, including constructing ramps, installing drainage, and managing traffic. Sargent’s experienced team, led by Superintendent James McCarthy, is ensuring the project meets the expectations of the Maine Turnpike Authority.
