Construction of about five miles of access road with eight bottomless culvert bridges. The access road included four miles of an existing logging road that had to be widened and upgraded for heavy trucking, and one mile of new road.
The excavation totals included: 15,500 cubic yards of earth excavation, 35,800 cubic yards of rock excavation, and 4,900 cubic yards of bedrock ripped with a CAT D10 bulldozer.
Construction of two miles of ridge road and site work for the eight turbine sites.
In all, Sargent crews installed 42,000 linear feet of erosion controls—a mix of silt fence and stump grindings/bark mulch.
