Sargent is providing sitework for the new Cathy Gero Bangor Region YMCA, an 82,000-square-foot facility being constructed on a seven-acre site on Main Street in Bangor, Maine. Work includes tree clearing and grubbing, approximately 50,000 cubic yards of excavation, foundation excavation, utility installation, stormwater management, paving, and trenching. Sargent is also coordinating with the City of Bangor on existing utilities and will excavate the facility’s future competition pool after the building is constructed. The new three-story YMCA is expected to open in late 2027.
