Sargent is a heavy civil/highway/earthwork company. Our primary segments are highways, airports, landfills, utilities, and commercial sitework. Our work is outside, fast-paced, and challenging.

Until participants are in the role they want our Workforce Advancement Team will continue to train and work with them.

Academy participants are classified as entry level laborers. After the initial onboarding process Academy participants are assigned to field crews performing labor tasks - these include everything from installing & maintaining erosion control systems, installing utilities, running support tools and equipment, and many other tasks.

  • Do Sargent employees travel for work? +

Yes, but most often employees only travel within their home state and Sargent has a comprehensive and generous travel pay and per diem policy – lodging (if needed) is paid for by the company as are most miles travelled.
